Carnitas at Cazadore's - disappointed (HOU)

Before I post a bad review on B-4-U-Eat I have to ask if this is the normal way to be served Carnitas; they came out on a hot griddle, like fajitas, with bell pepper, onions and carrots. The pork itself just tasted like cooked pork roast. No flavor, except pork. The meat was not particularly tender, and I have a feeling that the "crispy" parts of it were either from the griddle, or it was just plain, old, dried up meat. I got corn and flour tortillas (liked the corn best) and it came with a salsa verde sauce, on the side, that was not too exciting. All in all it was one of the worst experiences I have had at a mexican restaurant in a long time. The salsa, and red sauce that was served with the chips were not very good. The charro beans were at the bottom of a ton of flavorless broth, the queso was probably from a can, and the guacamole was plain avocado (which I prefer) but it had flecks of red in it, that looked like dried tomatoes. Very small flecks, and no particular taste to them either.

I had never tried this before, so I wonder if this is the norm, but please say no! Oh, and my DH got 2 tacos al carbon with beef fajita meat, which had no flavor either. It was so bad that he took one home and when he reheated it he put teriyaki sauce on it, which he usually hates on fajitas.

This was the one on the Northwest fwy., and it's a shame because it used to be El Charro, I think, and it was decent back then. Same guy runs it (he used to work at Tony's on Ella for years) but the quality has gone way downhill. Not going again!
