Cantaloupe/Chili Pepper Mix....?

I'd visited the Gelson's olive bar a couple of days ago and picked up (according to the small sign over the bin) some sort of cantaloupe/red chili pepper hybrid from Italy. They're small, and they look a bit like deflated cherry tomatoes - the outer skin's slightly chewy, but the rind inside is tart and simmeringly hot/spicy, it's a pretty interesting taste. Does anyone know what these are called?
