I got a bag of candied citron last summer and I've had it in the fridge since. It's not the kind that comes in a tub that you find at the supermarket, this one has citron, invert sugar and citric acid as the only ingredients. Anyways, I was just told I shouldn't have stored it in the fridge because it goes bad. Is this true?? I'm making panettone in a few days and I'm not sure if I should get a new bag or use something else. And how are you supposed to store it? Thanks!
