Cambria dining report (long)

Made our homage to Cambria for some deep relaxation. Here's our food experience.

Robin's for dinner and lunch was the highlight of this trip. SO had tandori shrimp - well reviewed by Zagat's - and rightly so. I had a shrimp fetticine w/ capers and tomatoes - light and fresh. The Ahi appetizer was served w/ pickled cukes and shaved daikon - a knockout. Lunch was also great - chicken club w/ applewood smoked bacon for SO and portabello mushroom sandwich for me. Even the side salads included diced beets, yellow bell peppers, etc.

Sea Chest was great for very basic/vanilla seafood. It is exactly what you'd expect for a good non-fancy seafood joint. We managed to see the sunset in a cozy room. They take cash only, BTW. Worth eating here.

Chenoa - had mixed experience. I had skirt steak w/ chimichuri sauce - very ordinary and a bit boring. Came w/ "potato cakes" - I was expected crispy. Well it must be deep fried mashed potatoes - crunchy outside and viscous interior. SO loved his lamb chops - some of the best he'd had.

Indigo Moon continues as our favorite place to get lunch. Delicious sandwiches - grilled eggplant for me and smoked salmon for him. Paired w/ a fresh Sauv. Blanc. Just great.
