Cambodian at Floating Rock, Revere

Had another tasty meal there recently and it occurred to me that though it's a favorite of many hounds, the buzz has died down and newer readers probably haven't heard of it. Some old threads are pasted below.

For the record, I had the pork chop rice plate: a huge pile of rice with a thinnish pork chop, on bone, marinated and cut into "fingers" (but left attached), fried, served over sliced cucumber and tomato with a fish sauce based dipping sauce (finger food). The ginger chicken rice plate is a stir-fry of chicken and onions, with lots of ginger. Rice plates come with a bowl of excellent chicken broth with herbs.

I have given up on the regular chicken soups (with chicken) as the meat is sliced boneless breast which is so bland to start with and then is almost always overcooked. Other soups are good. The sour soup with spare rib is the meat analog of the catfish soup with jackfruit. The Vietnamese shrimp soup is very fine. The spicy sour soup with beef is extremely peculiar at first sniff; for the honor of chowhound I had to eat some and 3 spoonfuls later was wondering what the problem was, I enjoyed it. But would not recommend on a first visit.

The squid salad, as so many have said, is utterly delectable.
