There is still a possibility to join some Chowhounds for a special Cal-Basque dinner at Piperade tonight (Wednesday, Oct 15th) where we will open some super Zinfandels: a bottle of Ridge Pagani Ranch 1991 (first vintage) the ten-year anniversary Pagani Ranch 2001 and a bottle of Carlisle Gum Tree Ranch 2001 (only 120 cases made from 100-yr old vines; this is the last vintage as the property as since been sold to real estate developers).

The dinner will be at Piperade's big bench where eight (or more) people can sit under a wine bottle chandelier and sample a wide range of dishes family-style. Piperade specializes in small and large plates that are perfect for sharing.

Piperade has been uniformly well reviewed on Chowhound and has become one of the most popular destinations in the city. The rich spicy Cal-Basque menu should go well with our Cal-Zin wines.
