For my moms 64th birthday, she would like to travel to Battle Ground, IN to howl with the wolves. I am not one to argue with a 64 year-old mom who wants to howl with wolves. I live in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago and we are leaving from the city. We will be taking the skyway into Indiana, and then I-65 all the way to Battle Ground. She would like to stop somewhere in Indiana for a birthday dinner. We are incredibly flexible in terms of where in Indiana, with the stipulation that the food is great. Of particular interest would be burgers, barbeque, fried fish or chicken; I suppose you could say that we are looking for what Indiana does best in perhaps a setting that is unlike that found in and around Chicago. Note: my mom had a Schoops burger about a year ago and still speaks rhapsodically about it. Any recommendations in and around the aforementioned lines would be *greatly* appreciated (and please do not hesitate to contact me for Middle Eastern and Mexican recommendations in Chicago). Thank you all so very kindly!
