I am heading off to Calgary next Sunday for a conference. It will be at a downtown hotel so I will be centraly located for about a week.
I would appreciate any dining suggestions. My tastes are pretty diverse although I am not really interested in asian cuisine this trip. Money is not a big issue and I will be dining alone most of the time. Good wine would be a plus.
Despite being in prime beef country I am not really interested in a big steak so Snuggler's, Caesar's, Chicago Chop House and the like can be edited out of the equation.
I have tried Michael Noble's Catch on a past visit and was disappointed. Might however give the main floor oyster bar another go.
Have enjoyed River's Cafe, the Owl's Nest, Wildwood Brewing on past trips.
I will not have a car for most of the time so The Ranche is probably too far south without a big taxi bill.
Do want to get to Il Sogno but was told that it might be closed during for a summer break while I am there.
Any other recommendations?
