Ok, i have asked about this place a couple of times with no response. It is near St. Johns Univ. It is owned by 4 St. Johns grads who were tired of going to manhattan for the kind of Italian food they wanted. (Their words, not mine.)
Anyway, I have been their a couple of times on pasta nights (mon-wed). On thsoe days pasta is 7, unless it has seafood, in which case it is $10.
I liked the orecheti (sp?) with broccoli rabe and sausage. I liek that they crumbled the sausage. The seafood pasta was good as well. The scallops and shrimp were good, although the mussels where a bit on the shriveled size (and just a tad sandy.) Their pineapple sorbet was very good. Creamy, even without dairy. The plce is small but nice, and the service is pleasant.
In short, this is a nice pasta cafe with good prices. I'll go back and try more things when i have the chance.
Anyone else been there? What did you think? What's good there?
