Cafe Tazzina in Santa Monica

Xericx | Jun 1, 200408:53 PM

This is a small cafe with a variety of Panini Sandwhiches, Italian Sandwhiches, soups, salads, coffee. I've had several good lunches here as of late with friendly service, mainly their lunch special of a bowl of soup and a 1/2 sandwhich for $5.95.

The sandwhiches have an array of fairly good ingredients, mainly italian in nature (such as Prosciutto di Parma, fresh mozzerela, herbs, etc). In addition, they do good espresso drinks...the honey vanilla latte was very good.

Salads are pre-made, but they do have some great selections such as a Burrata salad and a Caprese salad, and at around $6-7, can't be beat.

In a wasteland of poor and fast lunch choices in Santa Monica, this is a place I'll frequent more often. Added plus is that its walking distance from my office.

Its on 1620 Wilshire, next to the new Staples on 16th.
