CAFE RODEO - Save yourself the angst and anxiety

Went to do a little shopping today and decided to do a pit stop at Cafe Rodeo. Being a gorgeous day in mid-June, it seemed like the perfect place to grab a quick sandwich and sit outside and gaze at the Japanese tourists ...

Sat outside - seems like everybody does here.

Asked for ice water and iced tea. Tea had no ice, however. What did the waiter do, you ask? He brought a glass of ice and said, "there you go!" Uh, ok.

Ahi tuna sandwich. Wretched. Would have been better with one of those lunchables of star-kist tuna and crackers.

Friend got some fancy named chopped salad. Salad was wilted, with edges that were browning and taking on a nice chocolate hue. Asked that same waiter with the panache for ice about what appeared to be "bad" lettuce. He took a quick look and said "What appears to be the problem with it? I believe the color of the lettuce is from the special dressing." I snortled, "Not unless it was dressed with . . . gravy."

Sitting outside was nice, but some lady next to us had her dog (poodle?) with her. Unfortunately, said dog believed my sneakers were the next best thing to a fire hydrant. I chucked my piece of Ahi Tuna to distract it. Pooch snatched it up and swallowed it whole. Lady-owner looked aghast and screamed, "You''re going to make her sick!"

Me thinks ... better her than me.
