My Mother's birthday is next week and I'm trying to round up her friends for a meal. As it's a round number, I though Dim Sum in Chinatown (relatively central location for the group concerned) would be good, but one couple can't make it for lunch so now I'm looking at a 5:30 dinner and it seems that that would be too late for Dim Sum (Ruby Rouge, our selection, only serves Dim Sum during daylight and it gets dark around 5:30 these days!)
My next idea was either a buffet or a "Dinner for 12" at (Cafe) Nanking, which is where we used to go as a family back in the good old days. However, the only number I can find for Nanking (878-0855) is out of service. Are they still open? If so, what's the number?
If Dim Sum at 5:30 and Nanking aren't options, what would be the best choice for a Sunday evening buffet in Chinatown?
Thanks in advance!
