Since I rarely drink coffee simply for the coffee taste (and never EVER black!) I'd love to hear who does the best job mixing the coffee, milk, chocolate and maybe even a pump of vanilla in their cafe mochas.
It's interesting because I seldom enjoy a mocha and a iced mocha from the same place. For instance, I can tolerate a blended mocha at Charbucks, but detest their hot mocha.
Let me start by saying a good cafe mocha (imo) should be a BALANCE of the coffee, chocolate and milk. The coffee should not be MASKED by the milk or chocolate, nor should the chocolate be OVERPOWERED by the sugar. Of course my most delectable mocha experience was in Qinque Terre Italy, and my latest one was at Peets, ugh I hang my corporate head in shame.
I'm constantly pulling over to sample coffee house mochas and I can tell you that Bourgeois Pig's mocha was horrendous the other day. Outrageously sweet with a gasoline consistency. I had to constantly add hot water just to make it drinkable.
So please feel free to add in your two cents.
BTW- I have not loved Karma Coffeehouse or Groundworks either.
