Cafe Graikos - Northridge

We went to graikos for lunch today and we were really disappointed by the service. Our waiter (a high school senior looking guy with long dark hair) took forever to get our drink order, and then comes back to say "do you need more time?" (personally, I think "are you ready to order?" is more professional, but anyways) Our soup and salad came out, but no pita bread, which was supposed to come with our food. Normally it comes with soup and salad. He brought out our entrees, no pita. Finally I asked for it, and he looked at me and then the table like he brought it out and we hid it or something. Went and got some pita for us. Empty drink glasses -- he waited until we were done with our food to come over and ask if we wanted more iced tea. Had to ask for our check , because he was too busy laughing it up behind the counter with the other (female) waitress. Didn't come back to pick up the check, so my husband ended up taking it to the counter himself!

The woman at the table next to us was complaining that they charged her an extra $1.50 for extra tzatziki sauce. She said the waitress should have told her it costs extra. I agree.

We really used to enjoy this place, and we like their food, but their service is keeping people away. I've heard others complain about the same thing. This place isn't going to be around much longer if they want to charge $9-12 for a lunch entree and $10-15 for dinner and not be able to offer decent service. We're really disappointed.
