Cafe Bella Vista-under $10

Cynthia | Sep 20, 200402:25 PM     1

It's too easy to drive by the corner of Harrison and 22nd Street and not notice Cafe Bella Vista. Just look for the El Tonayense Taco truck on the corner. One brother has the three taco trucks; the other brother has the restaurant Cafe Bella Vista.
—and, we enjoyed dinner on Saturday evening: sharing the house salad of mixed greens and 3 goat cheese croquets $7.25, tender pollo ajillo with yellow potatoes $8.50, mussels in a white wine garlic broth with flakes of red pepper for $7.50, a glass of the Pinot Blanc $4, and a Luberri glass $4.50. Dinner is served Wed-Sun. and Lunch is Monday-Sat. I think it was mentioned that breakfast is also offered but my brain is fuzzy about that! Service was pleasant and we had a friendly chat with the owner who opened the cafe in April. The Sunday Chronicle's Bargain Bites listings missed out on this one! and thanks to our own chowhound jen m. for sending us to Bella Vista!
