Cafe Adam Report ( Great Barrington) $$$$$

Last night I went to Cafe Adam for dinner...There were 6 of us. I have been about half a dozen times and really enjoy it, but I always *forget* how damn $$$ it is!

We all had cocktails and wine ( my sister's martini was $16.80 which I think is ridiculous ) Our waitress was a young lady who was very shy & nervous. Tim, who was on the floor watching over everything was doing a great job.

We had fried chick peas, a grilled onion with amazing sauce, calamari, goat cheese filled dates, escargot for starters...everyone enjoyed them...

dinner was duck cassoulet, scallops, salmon carbonara...everyone enjoyed...

dessert was the molton chocolate cake, drunken cake, and ginger creme brulee...again, we all enjoyed.

Nothing was OMG this is the best thing I've ever tasted...

Everything was really good.

Bill came with 20% tip already included at $526...$175 a couple. Thats alot of $.

We have a GC to John Andrews that we will be using next month...I will report back. Haven't been in a year, but almost every time I go I do have a OMG moment.
