Cafe Adam in Great Barrington Kicks A$$ !!!

hi all

so, after all this time i FINALLY tried CAFE ADAM tonight. it was my sisters 40th bday, and she wanted to go somewhere we havent been yet. we have done everything in town & surrounding 10 x over, so this was a great choice.

there were 8 of us. when we got there we found out we had the $15 menu which means everything on the menu was $15 or less. they offer it wed, thu, and sun to draw in more locals. there were plenty to choose from on this menu. we all had apps: winter green salad ( goat cheese, pecans, oranges ), fried calamari with the tastiest mayo ( i forget exactley what flavor ) mussels, artichoke caeser, escargot, and the soup....oh, this soup was to die for: cauliflower w/ truffle. absolutely delicious. all apps were tasty, but this one really stood out.

for dinner we had the swordfish special, lobster rissoto, duck cassoulet & rib eye steak. everything was wonderful, the presentation was beautiful.

dessert was a huge hit too: i cant remember the exact name, but the chocolate dessert blew everyone away. we had 3 of them at the table, plus creme brulee, apple crumble w/ caramel ice cream. all were so good but the chocolate was honestly one of thee tastiest desserts i have ever had ( several people said the same )

service was great...atmosphere was great...

lots of cocktails & wine, everyone stuffed to the gills, tax & 20% tip = $460

cannot wait to go back.
