Have wanted to go to Cafe D for some time and was pushed by reading the recent reviews. Went tonight and was pleasantly surprised. Very accessible- parking in the lot in the rear with door in the rear of restaurant. Wonderful calamari- although I was not thrilled with the deep fried lemon slices served with it- just not my taste. Wonderful salad- dates, oranges, almonds, romaine, olives and nicely dressed.
Fish tacos were very tasty - served with nicely flavored black beans (although somewhat salty). H had Morrocan lamb-very nice. Rice pudding which had a crusty brulee top and dried cherry sauce on the bottom was very good. Two cocktails, two glasses of wine, two apps, two entrees, one dessert. $100. Very nice, quiet, not overbearing service.
