C2 brief review and an endorsement for Vista

DB | Nov 16, 200506:31 PM

I went for the first time today to C2, a cafe/cafeteria in the middle of century city, between the twin towers. People on the board sometimes affectionately refer to it as "Swill Hut," and now I know why. I got this soup called bacon lentil that was basically a very greasey broth (a groth?) with undercooked bacon swimming in it. For $2.50. At least it was a very small cup.

I've had much better luck at Vista. Nothing overwhelming, but the salads and soups are generally well-prepared and the price is much better.
