Anyone tried buying into a cow? Like Chileno Valley Beef?

I'm now thinking about buying part of a cow from a pasture-only local rancher. Getting a freezer, the whole deal. And I'm wondering: anyone tried this? More specifically, anyone tried it with Chileno Valley Ranch? Wondering about the beef quality, etc ... and what it's like to have a massive volume of roast meat in your basement. (steaks I can handle just fine).
