A month ago, Nathan and I bought 7 red wines from K and L to drink as everyday wines. These wines averaged about $10 each. 4 of them were recommended as best buys (with a tag and a blurb describing the wine), and we have drank 3 of those 4 bottles. None of them were good, one was just horrible. Of the 3 remaining non-best-buy wines, we have drank 2 and one was good, the other very good.
It makes me think that the "best buys" are really just wine that they want to get rid of. After all, a $10 wine that is good should be flying off the shelves so it doesn't need any endorsements, right? Does anyone else have any experiences to share about these so-called best buys?
