Where can I buy oblatten?

La dolce vita | Jun 9, 2003 11:00 PM

I'm looking for a type of German wafer called oblatten. It's round, probably about 8 or 10 inches in diameter, and resembles the kind of crunchy, sweet waffly wafer you find in cream-filled wafer cookies.

Does anybody know where I can buy them? I live in Sherman Oaks, and I'd prefer not to drive far to find them. Trader Joe's used to carry them already cut into wedges (I'd prefer the uncut variety) but I haven't seen them in awhile.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
