Over the years I have had the fun & good fortune of finding the best of the best quality kitchen "stuff" ( from cookware, gadgets, vintage utensils, you name it) at garage sales, thrift shops, craigslist & I even found a long oval antique griddle perched on top of a garbage can on trash day! A good scrub & a nice seasoning in the fireplace took care of any germs, etc. I don't buy anything that's damaged in any way, even if it's cheap. I have quite a good collection of Le Creuset; all different colors, but that isn't an issue for me. Got an original Waring chrome beehive Blendor about 10 years ago for all of $6.00 and it's still going strong today. Just so many great finds. Anyone else do this? If you're on a budget or even if you're not, it's so much fun to find top-notch kitchen "stuff" for next to nothing.Word of warning: don't buy more than you really need even if it's a super bargain. You'll soon have a cluttered kitchen & too many things to wash!
