On a recent trip to Sweden, I was served salmon that they referred to as smoked salmon, but was nothing like the smoked salmon I'm used to here in the US. It looked like cooked salmon… It didn't have that see-through quality of the smoked salmon I buy in the grocery store here. It wasn't sliced thin layer either… It was more chunk away from the bone. I can't actually remember if it was served hot or Cold… Perhaps it was room temperature. I'd love to buy some here in the US, but I don't know where to get it. Based on this Huffington Post article… http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/3417652 ... I think hot smoked salmon is what I'm looking for. But it also could've been something else. It was served with a sauce made with creme frishe and had a little tiny orange caviar in it.
I live in the Boston area… I was thinking maybe Rein's deli had it, but that's far from me. I actually live in southern New Hampshire… Anyway, I'm looking for advice on where to buy this. It was delicious. Thank you very much for any direction you can offer.
