Yesterday when I gave up hope on my DHs requested berries and cream pie to ever set. I went lookig for another recipe to take along as a contribution at last night's 4th of July dinner. I found this tart at Epicurious and made it fairly quickly. I was short on lemons but substituted some Boyajian lemon oil, the recipe wanted a Tbs. of lemon zest and I used a half tsp. of the oil. I think it gave a more consistent lemon flavor to the tart. Well the other pie set up and it was good but the tart was the hit.
I would not use the crust recipe again that was given with the tart recipe. It was a pain in the butt. I generally use Nick Malgieri's all butter crust and like it quite well. I would use it instead the next time I make it. Also, frozen berries worked just fine. I did need to bake it about 15 minutes longer than specified, but all was well. Try it soon.
