We will arrive from an afternoon boat tour to Butchart Gardens in time for dinner and are considering the Dining Room Restaurant. Seems to be a pleasant menu appropriate to the garden atmosphere. That there are some local ingredients listed is attractive too. The prices suggest skilled preparation & service and we are happy to pay for it. However, we are wary of finer dining at a tourist stop and want to avoid disappointment. Has a Chowhound dined here & do you have a recommendation? Shall we select this outlet over the more casual Blue Poppy Restaurant? This location is our only option for dinner as we won't return to Victoria until after 10pm.
Should there be interest, please be assured we will report back. Thanks!
