Today I was cutting up my cantaloupe for some fruit salad. I had bought it on Sunday and left it and other fruit out to ripen more. The cantaloupe was easy to cut juicy and beautifully colored and smelled strongly of fruit. So, I could not pass up trying it, but it tastes a little burnt with the sweetness. Going to finish cutting and put in fridge but unsure of taste it was so strange. The reason I am not tossing right away is I am a mom on a budget and I don't toss anything unless I am sure.
