tried it for the first time today. first of all, there were no desserts today, so didn't get a chance to try any. also, a cool thing about the joint is that it does have tables unlike most bbq joints, which are strictly takeout.
on to the ribs, got the beef ribs lunch. about three ribs in the hot sauce. the ribs were kind of dried out, not incredibly great, but yet still sort of satisfying in a way. the hot sauce was not really hot at all by my standards. overall, phillips has superior ribs when it comes to the beef ribs. and a defintiely superior sauce. but j's may be worth a trip if you just want to sit down and have some ribs, if you don't want to deal with takeout. also, phillip's potato salad is much better too. another good selling point about j's is that they are considerably cheaper than phillip"S
