Stumbled upon the Burger Kitchen on 3rd near Crescent Heights last night. Impressed with Pat LeFrieda meat brought in from NYC. Went for the Steakburger (made with a LaFrieda blend) and it was pretty good. Having had the Minetta Tavern aged beef burger in NYC, didn't feel the need to replicate their version of experience (although I liked it at Minetta a lot). This $14 Steakburger was very satisfying, a good meaty flavor, cooked as requested (rare). The cheddar cheese didn't melt properly and was too salty - good as a stand alone cheese but not right for a burger (I removed it).. Management took the criticism on board. The sweet potato fries and onion rings were delicious (special kudos for the garlic aioli that came with the fries). Nice, small wine selection. Overall the food was very good and the place seems deserving of support.
