This place keeps growing on me. I had the spinach burek for the first time today. I was planning on eating the meat burek again, but the counterperson told me that the spinach pie had just come out of the oven and I couldn't turn down the opportunity to eat a fresh warm burek. The Burek was pefect. The exterior pastry crust was perfectly crispy and the interior was delectably moist and chewy. The spinach filling (perhaps sauteed in butter?) was fresh tasting, and for $4.00 I received a slice that was plenty filling for lunch. They also have potato and cheese and something called a special burek which I have not tried. It is right under Lazarra's between 8th and 9th and a definite welcome addition to the garment district lunch scene.
