I'm trying my hand at the Caramel Cake from the Buttercup Bake Shop cookbook. Step one involves making a pot of caramel: 3 cups sugar, 1 cup water, boil until it turns brown, add 2 cups cream and whisk. This was my first attempt at a caramel and it worked! Now that the amazement has worn off, I'm left with 2 1/2 cups of caramel and no idea what to do with it. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
