We have been waiting patiently for this place to open. I decided to get some takeout wings for dinner last night. YIKES!!
Like most newly opened chain restaurants they use the shotgun approach for staffing and hire 150% of the help needed to run the place. So many Indians and not enough chiefs to supervise. Lots of young inexperienced staff just milling around.
In a month they will have culled the clueless and hopefully be on track.
I ordered from an enthusiastic 20 something woman who spoke much too fast for my taste. I asked her to repeat almost everything. Each time I had a question about a menu item she walked around the counter and looked at the menu with me. Figuring out the answer was a team effort.
I ordered a variety of three types of wings. The place was not all that busy but it took about 30 minutes. Finally my order came and was placed on the counter out of my reach. The counter person got distracted and disappeared. I asked one of the other two people at the counter if I could have my order. "Just a minute!" WTH??
Finally one of them grabbed my bag, put it on the counter in front of me and took everything out of the bag. WTH?? "I have to check each order. We make a lot of mistakes." It was painful to watch. I just wanted to leave and would have been happy with whatever was in the containers.
While she checked the order the sales slip fell of the bag. She put the wings back in the bag and I reached for it. No! She has to put the slip back on the bag. She searched for tape.
I grabbed the bag while she was not looking and beat a hasty retreat. No one chased me down!!!
I get home with my 3 orders of wings and only 1 blue cheese dip. WTH?? we quickly ran out of dip.
Lots of choices for the wings which were very good but not a great value I.M.H.O.. $1+ for a wing seems high.
If you are interested in watching a game with a group it's a good bet. Lots of big screen TV's.
Spicy's and Cody's in Riverhead have much better wings at a better price with less "agra."
