Buffalo gelato in Los Altos

A new cafe opened in Los Altos: Morsey's Farmhouse Kitchen, taking the place of the former Main Street Cafe. It's right across the street from Red Berry Coffee. They have pastries and higher-end cafe food, plus house-made buffalo milk gelato, which I sampled:

This is the first time I've had buffalo milk gelato, so I have nothing to compare it to. The texture / thickness / creaminess is unusual, and quite good; I think it's worth a trip. For the flavors:

- Coffee: Rather terrible.
- Pistachio: Above average. You can tell it's freshly house-made. But not anywhere near the wow-factor of the pistachio from the long-since-closed Scream Sorbet.
- Hazelnut: Very good, made with hazelnuts (not Nutella).

They also had mango and "creamberries", which is actually "berry of the day", and today it was raspberries.

The gelato is less sweet, relying more on the buffalo milk for sweetness, which I like. But I would have preferred more intense flavors to cut through the heavy milkiness.

$3.75 for 1 scoop, $6.50 for 2 scoops, toppings for 75 cents each.

They are in soft-opening mode. Current hours are: Tue-Sat 7am-9 pm, Sun 7am-3pm
