Low-buck houndage

Warthog | Apr 18, 2006 09:37 AM

Most hounds are probably at a point in their lives where counting every penny is no longer a vital part of life, but most of us have been there at some point in life, and such times often foster fond memories of the creative search for good food at a low price point. Of course, it's easier to enjoy those times as memories, when one can forget the desperation, and focus on the good parts of the experience.

Today's query is what your favorite "good food on a tight budget" meal is. Obviously, the choices may not be as glamorous as some, but we're shooting for something at least minimally chow-ish. Favorite "all you can eat" buffets will be accepted for consideration, but one hopes that local hounds have some good, tasty, filling, low-budget options to the buffet table.

And remember, the joys of low-budget dining are easier to appreciate when your are eating this way by choice, rather than due to necessity!
