Had lunch at this place today. Kind of interessting. Been ther 9 mohtns according to the owner. the place was busy - good for them. Very clean - very nice staff - interesting service concept.
You order and pay. they give you a long wood spoon with a number. You find a table and they find you with that number. I wonder what happens when the place is really jumping.
Anyway, to the food. I had a pulled pork sandwich and my wife had a pulled chicken sandwich (did not know such a thing existed) the sides were an excellent baked beans, frozen but very well done french fries, and a good cole slaw.
The pulled chicken, thigh and white meat, was very tasty. But was not crazy about the pulled pork. It was obviously sitting in a smokey brine and it was far too salty. Perhaps I would have been better off ordering their pork sandwich. I am going to assume that it would have been pulled from the shoulder and chopped to order or sliced to order from perhaps a pork loin?
The owner told me they used a smoker. the kitchen was immaculate and the kids working in the kitchen and the front were very nice.
I would return and try another form of pork next time or perhaps the ribs. Oh, they had 4 types of sauces - sweet, mild, hot and extreme.
