Tried this adorable little cafe across from the Queen St Mental Health institution (Queen WW) on the weekend. Cute room with worn pine floors & mismatched wooden tables & chairs. Surprisingly charming view (only the wall of the QSMH was visible from our table - you could pretend it was the wall of a garden & not a hospital!). Brunch for 2 with coffee and 1 champage/OJ came to $50 before tax. The food & service were good, but we thought it was overpriced. My eggs beni was good (fresh hollandaise but a bit bland); my husband ordered a mixed plate with yoghurt, toast, cheese and a boiled egg - the portion was very small for $10 and he was still hungry so had bread pudding (very sweet but good), which was also a tiny portion for $8. It was enjoyable but no added value vs. the tried & true brunch spots around town that are less expensive. Won't be rushing back.
