Brunch Letdown in Gaytown

My friend and I were looking for a decent brunch spot on Church over the weekend. Having been dissappointed by the firkin spot (horrific food) and the Village Rainbow (average greasy spoon) I thought we were safe at Hair of the Dog. I've had decent pub grub there and thought it would be good.

My friend ordered an omlette which ended up being so rubbery she couldn't eat it. It also came with potatoes, which she said were good. The omlette was $11 and for toast she had to pay an extra $2. The server, to his credit, saw that she barely touched it, asked if there had been a problem and took it off the bill. It was an appropriately classy gesture.

I had the huevos rancheros, which, though not textbook, were quite good. My only conplaint is that they didn't come with any side potatoes, salad, toast or anything, so i was hungry within an hour of eating. Maybe i was supposed to order it on the side so they could bill be more than the $11...

So, where does one go on church for a decent brunch?
