Brunch at Dupont Grille!

Went down to DC for the weekend (beautiful city by the way, now I hate mine) and went to a number of places..

Brunch at the Dupont Grille on Sunday was really really great. *Just shy of excellent* I was told that they just opened and that yesterday was actually their first brunch ever. The price was fixed at $17.95 for unlimited coffee, bottomless Bloody Marys or Mimosa's, a cream cheese sweet roll, melon cocktail, and entree.

All of the food was outstanding. Many many selections including build your own 4-egg omelette, vanilla-bean french toast, etc etc etc. I chose an chorizo-cheddar-forest mushroom omelette with french fries. It was light, tasty, and prepared really well. French fries (sadly I'm a conneisseur) were awesome.

One drawback was that the kitchen was slow (to be expected...). Also our server, while sweet, spilled a little bit of a mimosa on one of us and didn't really try to clean it up. Lastly, we had the maitre-d in full suit as well as manager helping out too- really a bit over-the-top and trying too hard in my opinion...

All in all, great though, escpecially for my hangover..
