We recently traveled to NYC to see the Gates and had a Sunday brunch at Artisanal. We were very disappointed in both the service and quality of the food. There were 6 in our party and we all ordered the prix-fixe. The appetizer for one of our group came so late- despite multiple reminders- that the rest of us were starting the next course. The server suggested that to catch up his order of blintzes could be brought as dessert. This seemed like a good idea except that they were served ice cold. Obviously the chef had cooked them earlier, and no one bothered to reheat them. Several of us ordered fish and chips for our main course and the fish was tasteless; far inferior to what we typically get in a local pub in Boston - although we all loved the homemade tartar sauce. It's rare for a restaurant in the Big Apple to disappoint so.
