Browning meat for stew - when to add flour?

I'm making a stew with pork shoulder. Any opinions on whether it makes a difference to toss seasoned cubes of pork in flour and then brown, or brown the meat first then add the flour for a few minutes before adding the stock? I've done both and haven't taken much care to notice if there's a benefit one way or the other.
