brined turkey feedback

I'm curious if anyone on this board made a brined turkey for thanksgiving this year (courtesy of the Chronicle)? I like to brine my roast chickens, I've done a quick soy brine for salmon, but the turkey brine seemed like a headache to me. My local hardware store sold out of big plastic tubs for brining those 20-pound birds. Anyone?
