brine [moved from Texas board]

My father use to have a brine that he put on pork BBQ after cooking and pulling it. It was vinegar based and he pored it on the meat while it was still hot. He would then cool the meat - it made the BBQ taste wonderful. I know it had vinegar, water brown sugar, pepper (red and black) and some other ingredients. Would anyone out there have a brine recipe for pulles pork and the amounts to use.
