Brie with brown discoloration - safe?

I just opened this Brie. The sell-by date is not until some time in late May. It has some brown discoloration over much of the top, and some dark (but not fuzzy) spots. I had some and it tasted fine, though not as good as usual. Is this stuff normal? Bad mold? Bruising? How fast do I need to eat this up?
