Lots of people on this board have recommended Breezy Hill, Clinton, NY, as a great source of apples and cider. Elizabeth Ryan, the owner, is also a long-time activist in farm preservation and good agriculture in the Hudson Valley.
The orchard suffered a devastating fire this week. Maybe you'll want to stop by their Greenmarket stand or look out for upcoming benefits? Apparently the harvest wasn't damaged as much as the structures on the farm, and they might not have cider for a while. It looks like they've taken a big hit.
