Breakfast at Shake Shack

Tim | Oct 17, 2005 11:00 PM

Stopped in for the first day of breakfast service at the Shack today. I ordered a hot apple fritter and an ice coffee. The apple fritter was like a very high quality McDonald's apple pie. Pretty tasty, but not worth the calories.

I probably would have thought it was pretty good ice coffee if I were a coffe drinker, but I'm not so they could have been using Folgers for all that I'd know. However, I thought it was great that they offered both half and half and heavy cream for the coffee. Usually, coffee places only put out half&half and skim milk or lowfat milk, but there was something very nice about the option of heavy cream.

I'll be trying the egg sandwich (with cheese and pork sausage on a "griddled" bun) sometime soon.
