We'll be staying near Fisherman's Wharf (I know, I know). We need to be in Chinatown by 10. So I'm thinking (since my wife is a notorious late riser), that the latest we can show up somewhere for breakfast is 8:30, 9:00. Given that we're pretty much limited to public transport (although taxis are obviously possible), is there a great place for breakfast between those two locations (more or less) that won't be swamped at that hour? We had thought of Kate's Kitchen and Pork Store Cafe (both out of the way) or Fog City Diner (way too crowded according to what we were told in an earlier post). Now, we're truly open, although Dottie's True Blue would seem to be a contender (too crowded?). It doesn't have to be the best breakfast we've ever eaten (though that would be welcome, certainly), but comfortably above average would be great. Oh: not high end. Something along the lines of the places I've suggested... Many thanks for your help.
