Restaurants & Bars 1

BREADtribeca

I wouldn't have personally chose this restaurant myself. But friends invited me so I went..
Cute and cozy restaurant with friendly staff. A nice bar menu with a good passion fruit martini.

The bread comes hot and crusty from the oven (yay) on a board with a knife. I think the idea is cute but there were crumbs EVERYWHERE from trying to cut the load with the tiny knife they provided.

Ordered the flash cooked squid, fried garlic, dried prosciutto. Sounded promising but completely lacked in flavor. At least the squid was cooked well. Hmm..

Then onto the homemade parpadelle noodles with prime beef ragu. The parpadelle were made well but again, the sauce lacked in flavor. I added a TON of salt to pick it up a little...my friends ordered the calamari, mussles, pizza, penne, and linguini with clams. All were average as well.

I wouldn't recommend anyone run to this place anytime soon.
