I recently had an interesting 'sweet & sour' slaw at the Harbor Cafe in Morro Bay, Ca.
It was deliciously crisp, bright yellow colored, (tumeric) and sweet with a slighly sour bite. There were a few visible mustard seeds, but no evidence of mayo or other creamy ingredients. The server said it was the owner's mother's recipe. "Sort of like bread & butter pickles" she said.
So sleuth Hounds, what do you think? Sould I google a recipe for b&b pickles, or do any of you already make something like this? I've never seen anything like it before, and would like to replicate it w/o too much trial and error for tomorrow. Ain't I lazy?!
