Years ago, while working in Manhattan, a woman I worked with used to bring me in this form of white bread from Brooklyn (Brownsville or Bed-Sty). The name 'bunn' bread comes to mind, but I could be totally wrong. Along with its white color, it was a loaf bread and VERY heavy. I think it was a native bread to those from Barbados or possibly Jamaica?
Does anyone have any idea what type of bread this is? Toast made with it was excellent and so moist on the inside.
