This is only my second post on Chow Hound but after moving to New Jersey I have used CH extensively to find the best eats and maybe I can begin to give back to all those that have steered me in the right direction all these months.
My find is Hamburgao in Newark , Basically a hole in the wall with very unique hamburgers.
The 3 times I have eaten there I have had the "Hamburgao Picanha" Sirloin steak, hamburger ,mozzarella, ham, bacon, fried egg, corn, potato stix, lettuce, tomato and seasoned mayo.
"Cheese Tudo" Hamburger, mozz, presunto, bacon, fried egg, corn, ham ,pineapple, lettuce, tomato and seasoned mayo
And a selection of freshly prepared pastries like Fried croquets with either shrimp, chicken, meat or cheese and pastries filled with Cod fish, ham and cheese, hearts of palm, and yuca and meat.
Nothing costs above $7.50 and the burgers are quite large.
Not exactly a low cal meal but a good lunch outing if you can find parking.
